Telemetry for Dragon IV Formula
Bezdíček, Jan ; Petrlík, Jiří (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis was to design and construct complete telemetry system for the student formula Dragon IV constructed for international Formula Student competition. At first, the work deals with the measurement of the physical quantities, telemetry system and automotive sensors of the formula, their mutual communication and communication with the CAN bus. It also describes the procedure of hardware design including choosing right inertial sensors and a GPS module and their using in telemetry system. The work contains materials for production of two-layer printed circuit board extending the microcomputer BeagleBone Black on the inertial sensors and the GPS module. The bigger part of the telemetry system is the firmware for hardware and software for the computer user. Both written in programming language C++ and C# are included in this work as well. This user application serves for wireless receiving data from the hardware and their showing and logging. In addition this user application can be used for wireless hardware configuration. The final product is the complete telemetry system and it is suitable for selling to end customer.
Measuring unit for race swimmers motion analysis
Kumpán, Pavel ; Hrbáček, Jan (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with a design of the computational method for the analysis of swimmers training with the use of an inertial measurement unit. The developed algorithm uses quaternion-based Unscented Kalman filter and merges accelerometer and gyroscope measurements. The proposed method enables analysis of velocity, acceleration and inclination of a swimmer. Verification of the method was based on an underwater video camera capturing and a tethered velocity meter.
Construction of a Pen with Hidden Acquisition of Behavioral Signature Samples
Müller, Dominik ; Sakin, Martin (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the construction of pen for hidden acquisition of behavioral signature samples. The proposed system provides realtime data acquisition with recording possibility. Signature samples are acquired using inertial sensors and pressure sensor. The custom printed circuit board with pen model have been developed. The special application has been developed for pen control. Received data are further processed for pen movement recognition. Bluetooth Low Energy has been used for communication and data transfer.
Flight properties of discgolf disc
Valík, Tomáš ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Hanák, Petr (advisor)
Even through the rising popularity of disc golf all around the world, there aren't many solutions on how to compare individual throws, other than by observing. By placing inertial sensors on the bottom plate of the disc, an average rotation frequency was obtained by an algorithm. By comparing six methods of evaluation with reference values measured with the Qualisys system, the best method returns an average percent error of 2,66 %. Based on this result a test comparing two throws, backhand and forehand, was made, with average values of 14,22 and 11,46 revolutions per second. Two sample t-test rejected null hypothesis at the 0,05 significance level with p-value 2,101*10^(-18).

Application of inertial sensors in physiotherapy
Doležalová, Eva ; Sládková, Petra (advisor) ; Oborná, Pavlína (referee)
OF BACHELOR THESIS: Author's first name and surname: Eva Doležalová Bachelor thesis supervizor: MUDr. Bc. Petra Sládková Bachelor thesis consultant: Mgr. Štěpánka Kozlerová Oponent: Title of bachelor thesis: Application of inertial sensors in physiotherapy Key words: inertial sensors, fyzioterapie, accelerometr, gyroskop, functional independence measures, neurorehabilitation Abstract: Inertial sensors are devices that allow monitoring of the movement. They are used also in physiotherapy, where they are applied to analyze walking and to detect falls. My bachelor thesis is focused on the possibility of using inertial sensors for monitoring patients affected by upper extremity. The theoretical part contains an outline of chosen foreign studies that deal with this issue. The second part is about theoretical neurorehabilitation, which is an important part of treatment for patients after brain damage. The practical part is processed in the form of quantitative research. The aim was to obtain and correlate the values obtained before and after the rehabilitation process. It was a total daily activity of upper limbs, which was measured by inertial sensors and the results of functional independence measures (FIM).
Assessment of motor activity in children with autism by inertial sensors - Method of measurement and its utilization in diagnostic
Nývltová, Lucie ; Komárek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Autism belongs to developmental pervasive disorders. Primary symptoms of autism include failure in communication, social interaction and imagination. Other symptoms are abnormalities in physical activity manifested by delays in motor development, stereotyped movements, postural instability, impaired in imitation and dyspraxia. These symptoms already come up in the first years of life. The first diagnosis of autism used to be made between 2nd and 3rd year of life, however if the diagnosis could be based on physical symptoms, it would be possible to establish the diagnosis earlier. The work presents a method of measurement by inertial sensors that could be used to assess physical activity of autistic children.
The influence of sensorimotor intervention on body perception and quality of movement in string musicians.
Kutinová, Eliška ; Mišinová, Klára (advisor) ; Voráčová, Helena (referee)
Playing a musical instrument is a very beautiful, but very physically demanding craft. Many musicians suffer from musculoskeletal pain caused, among other things, by a rigid, unchanging posture and a focus on performance at the expense of comfort. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the influence of music production on the musculoskeletal system of the musician and the possibilities of therapy aimed at improving sensorimotor skills and kinesthesia. The practical part followed the influence of therapy inspired by the Feldenkrais method and Alexander's technique on the movement of the musician during and outside the performance. The research was conducted on 19 professional string musicians. Testing of probands consisted of measurements with inertial sensors, objective measurements of sensorimotor skills and kinesthesia and a questionnaire survey. The parameter measured by the inertial sensors was a jerk (indicates the smoothness of the movement). The results of the measurements show that, even after a single therapy, the smoothness of the chest movement improved statistically significantly.
Effects of movement lesson inspired by Feldenkrais Method on thorax and pelvis movement in individuals after leg amputation
Michalová, Petra ; Vařeková, Jitka (advisor) ; Křivánková, Markéta (referee)
Title: Effects of movement lesson inspired by Feldenkrais Method on thorax and pelvis movement in individuals after leg amputation Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the monitoring of influencing the extent and perception of movement of the chest and masters after the intervention of an exercise lesson inspired by the Feldenkrais method (FM) in individuals after amputation of the lower limb. Method: It is a work with a theoretical-empirical structure, a quantitative approach with a controlled study. The topic of the research was monitoring the influence of the Feldenkrais method on the statics and dynamics of the pelvis, postural stabilization and subjective perception. The accuracy of pelvic reduction, the range of motion of the pelvis and chest were examined. The flexibility of the hamstrings and lumbar region was tested using the Sit and reach test. Subjective perception after the intervention was tested using a survey. A total of five probands were tested, each of whom underwent a separate intervention in the form of a Pelvic Lesson lesson from the Feldenkrais method. Results: After the intervention of the Pelvic Clock lessons from FM, the probands did not increase the smoothness of the stabilizing movements of the pelvis. There have been improvements in changes in...
